Every electrician needs proper tools to do the job safely and accurately. These tools must follow certain specifications to ensure they are durable, safe, and efficient.


🔧 What Are Tool Specifications?

Tool specification means the details and standards of a tool, such as:

  • Size and shape

  • Material used

  • Measurement range

  • Accuracy level

  • Insulation type

  • Safety features

Using tools with the right specifications ensures safe and professional work.


🔧 Common Electrician Trade Tools and Their Specifications


1. Screwdriver Set 🔩

  • Types: Flathead, Philips (Star)

  • Size: 100 mm to 300 mm

  • Handle: Insulated with plastic grip

  • Shaft: Chrome-plated steel or carbon steel

  • ✅ Used for: Tightening and loosening screws


2. Combination Pliers 🔧

  • Size: 200 mm (8 inch)

  • Material: Forged steel with insulated handle
