WIREMAN Learning Outcomes
Learning outcomes define the competencies that trainees must achieve during the Wireman training program. These outcomes ensure that trainees acquire the knowledge and practical skills required for electrical installation and maintenance work.
First Year Learning Outcomes
- Apply safety precautions and perform basic workshop practices.
- Prepare electrical wire joints and perform soldering and brazing.
- Construct and test DC and AC electrical circuits.
- Understand power generation, transmission, and distribution systems.
- Install earthing systems and test electrical safety.
- Install and maintain DC machines and AC motors.
- Read and interpret electrical schematic diagrams.
- Perform domestic wiring installations.
- Install batteries and solar energy systems.
Second Year Learning Outcomes
- Install commercial and industrial wiring systems.
- Install illumination systems for buildings.
- Repair CFL and LED lamps.
- Install solar power systems.
- Join underground cables.
- Install EV charging stations.
- Repair domestic electrical appliances.
- Perform motor and transformer winding.
- Prepare estimation and costing for wiring systems.
